For me, great coaching has never been about just writing a training plan or seeing green boxes!
It’s about understanding the athlete behind the numbers, behind the performance.
It’s understanding how they train, how they respond, what motivates them and the demands that they have in life. Ultimately, what we need to do together to help them perform at their best.
My approach combines experience, performance data and individualised coaching. Communication between the athlete and coach will always sit at the heart of the relationship.
PBP Performance has been created to build on that philosophy, as we grow we want to bring together a team of coaches who can share knowledge, challenge ideas and provide athletes with an even better coaching environment.
We’re incredibly excited to introduce Rosie Wild to the PBP Performance coaching team.
Rosie brings a pretty unique combination of experience to PBP.
She’s a professional triathlete, an Ironman World Championship competitor and a Major in the British Army.
In 2020, Rosie also made history by becoming the first female officer to pass All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection – better known as P Company.
But it’s not Rosie’s CV that makes her such a good fit for PBP.
It’s her approach to performance.
Rosie understands that high performance doesn’t mean the same thing for everyone. For one athlete it might mean competing at the front of an Ironman, for another it could be completing their first triathlon, finding consistency around a busy life or achieving something they previously didn’t think they were capable of.
No expectation that you need to be a certain standard before you’re worthy of good coaching.
